psychedelics & beyond

Life on planet earth is challenging…

Many of us have already lived through trauma, profound loss, and other deeply difficult life events that leave a painful imprint.

This is part of the human experience.

Much of the world has been cut off from effective healing traditions and modalities for the past several centuries, resulting in a tremendous collective burden of unhealed trauma.

Mainstream mental healthcare has often approached healing through the analytic mind, leaving many people with the impression that their symptoms can be managed, but not fully cured.

We have learned to compartmentalize our pain in order to keep moving
forward in life.

Psychedelics and other means of entering altered states of consciousness put to sleep the analytic mind,

bring us in contact with the deepest parts of ourselves,

and heal our hearts and spirits in ways that cannot fully be captured in words.

We are born with an innate capacity to alter our consciousness and access transcendent states through:

Breathwork

Meditation

Rhythm-induced trance states

Psychedelic medicines

Each of us is capable of developing these skill sets to regularly access higher wisdom that can:

bring about profound healing

guide our everyday choices

expand our understanding of life and our place within it

and help us work together harmoniously to solve the great challenges of our time.

Seeking wisdom and healing via altered states of consciousness has historically been crucial in maintaining balance and sacred reciprocity with the greater web of life - and remains deeply relevant today if we want our descendants to inherit a thriving, vital world.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Before enrolling our clients in retreats, we pre-screen extensively in partnership with medical professionals for medical and mental health contraindications. If you are considering attending a retreat elsewhere, feel free to book a call to explore whether psychedelic healing is right for you.

  • Preparation sessions help to define goals of healing, explore personal history that is likely to arise in your psychedelic journey, provide emotional support during pre-retreat medication tapers, and offer guidance for navigating altered states. The more effort you put into preparation, the deeper you will likely go in your journey. Adequate preparation reduces risk, empowers clients, increases clarity, and helps lay the groundwork for a fruitful integration.

  • Integration is the process of distilling the major takeaway's from one’s psychedelic journey, and applying the insights to everyday life. This may include processing what happened in the experience, meaning-making, changing thoughts and behaviors, ongoing trauma healing, incorporating wellness practices, and emotional and/or spiritual development.

  • Accessing altered states of consciousness via psychedelics or other means is not a cure-all, and does not automatically heal all our pain or resolve life’s challenges.

These experiences can, however, bring about deep healing and insight across physical, emotional, psychological, and sometimes spiritual aspects of who we are, often shifting how a person relates to themselves and their life.

To get the most out of the experience, it’s important to put sincere effort into the preparation and integration phases, and be willing to look within and take responsibility for ourselves and our lives. The integration phase asks that we move away from unhealthy behaviors and and replace them with healthier coping mechanisms, which requires a commitment to change. This greatly increases the likelihood that insights and positive changes are embodied and sustained over time.

  • The length of engagement varies depending on your goals, experience, and level of support needed. Some people come for a few preparation or integration sessions around a specific experience, while others work more continuously over time to support deeper personal change.

  • Psychedelics can show us what’s possible when it comes to traversing other dimensions, touching the mystical, and directly experiencing the divine -  it’s like taking a helicopter to the peak of Mount Everest to glimpse the view versus developing the skillset required to climb and descend it.

Naturally derived psychedelics come at a cost. Many plant medicines such as peyote, ayahuasca, and iboga are under significant ecological pressure due to over-harvesting and habitat loss. Frog and toad-derived psychedelics raise significant ethical and ecological concerns due to their impact on the animals involved. Synthetic psychedelics are not necessarily the answer, because many people feel that they lack the same sense of depth or dimensionality as naturally-derived ones.

We can mitigate our impact by making the most out of our psychedelic experiences; supporting the indigenous people who steward the medicines, lands, and traditions associated with them; and regularly practicing skills that allow us to access healing and wisdom without needing to over-consume psychedelics.

  • $150 for a 50-minute session, with scholarships available in cases of financial hardship. We plan to expand our offerings to include lower-cost group sessions for preparation and integration.
